Students listen to a piece of text a few times and take notes. Then, they get in groups and try to reconstruct the text in their own words. Eventually they compare their versions to the original. En av de stora fördelarna med dictogloss är att arbetet är så lätt att förbereda och att det kräver relativt lite förarbete. Man behöver förstås först och främst en lämplig text.
